Sell or let your property back home, from wherever you live
Many people living abroad own a home or land back home: a house they built, a flat that sits empty, or family land. ResidentFinder lets you list it yourself, for sale, for rent or as a short stay, and deal with buyers and renters directly from wherever you live.
How it works
- Create a free account and choose that you are listing your own property.
- Add the property: photos, the price in your local currency, the location and the details. Already listed somewhere else? Paste the link and we fill in the details for you to check.
- Buyers and renters message you through ResidentFinder, and you get each message by email wherever you are.
- Visitors can see your price in their own currency, so a buyer in London or Houston knows what it costs them.
What it costs
Listing is free, with no limit on the number of properties. Optional paid boosts move a listing higher in search results.
What you can list
- Houses, flats and land for sale.
- Homes to rent.
- Short stays, such as a flat you let to visitors while you are away.
Before you list from abroad
- Make sure the property is registered in your name. Inherited property usually has to go through the estate first.
- Hire your own lawyer in the country, and give anyone acting for you a power of attorney limited to the one sale or letting.
- Find out which taxes you will owe on the sale or the rent.
- Only list property you own, or have the owner's written permission to list, and use your own photos.
